Orbs measure how far apart two planets can be and still form an aspect. Traditions vary; use tighter orbs for faster bodies and exact delineations.
Common working orbs
- Conjunction: 8° (tighter for minor bodies)
- Opposition: 8°
- Square: 6–8°
- Trine: 6–8°
- Sextile: 4–6°
